Nina Samuel - 1977: born in Berlin. 1997-2005: studied History of Art and Cultural Sciences in Berlin and Paris. 2005: graduated in History of Art, the title of the Master: Programmierte Natürlichkeit. Fraktale als bildwissenschaftliche Herausforderung („Programmed Nature. Fractals as challenge for the ‚Bildwissenschaft’.“) Professional experiences in radio stations, documentary film productions and contemporary art galleries (Andrea Rosen Gallery, New York and galerie kurt im hirsch, Berlin). Since November 2005: member of the Graduate School „Image and Knowledgde“, eikones (NCCR Iconic Criticism) in Basel, Switzerland. Currently writing a thesis about the relation of mathematical computer graphics and hand drawings under the direction of Horst Bredekamp, Humboldt-University Berlin.
