Conference on the Histories of Media Art, Science and Technology titled Re:generative takes place in Colombia in May 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Conference dates: May 5\u20139, 2025 in Manizales (World Cultural Heritage Site) &amp; Bogot\u00e0 (Capital City) in Colombia.<\/strong><br><meta charset=\"utf-8\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"color:#084ff4\" class=\"has-inline-color\">DEADLINE for PANELS and individual PAPERS was August 26, 2024.<\/span><\/strong><br><em>This page for reference only<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Notification of acceptance announced by September 27, 2024 (international submitters) or October 27, 2024 (local\/regional submitters).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color:#0272a2\" class=\"has-inline-color\">I<\/span><span style=\"color:#0271a0\" class=\"has-inline-color\">n<\/span><span style=\"color:#02709f\" class=\"has-inline-color\"> <\/span><span style=\"color:#0271a0\" class=\"has-inline-color\">a context of profound changes and transformations, the regenerative is presented as an alternative to restore, renew or reconstruct lost or invisible memories. From the perspective of sustainability, the regenerative implies thinking about actions that imply survival as a vital matter of engendering for its re-existence.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The organizing committee invites researchers of different areas, disciplines and practices to submit individual papers, posters and full panels with new and original research preferably in the following themes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Individuals, groups and communities co-creating and co-designing<\/li><li>Circular dynamics, economies and autonomous practices<\/li><li>Open knowledge mediated by art&nbsp;&amp; science, and disseminated democratically<\/li><li>Innovation based on the reinterpretation and validity of ancestral memory<\/li><li>Future Memories: Documentation, Preservation and new Tools for Research &amp; Archiving<\/li><li>Pioneers of Media Art<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color:#0071a1\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Conference language is English and Spanish with simultaneous translation between the two languages available during the conference.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Re.generative 2025 will be held in conjunction with the 24th <a href=\"https:\/\/festivaldelaimagen.com\/en\/\">International Image Festival<\/a>, organized by the University of Caldas, in Manizales, and the University of Bogota Jorge Tadeo Lozano.
