NEXT Conference on the HISTORIES OF MEDIA ART, SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY in 2027 will take place in Helsinki and Espoo, Finland.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
Topic<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
The theme for the conference relates to the concept of image in the digital age and its many dimensions in contemporary art and its manifestations, meanings and possibilities. Interest in the reflection on the medium of image has increased not only since the relationship between the digital and the analogue after the digital transition has been redefined and since new interest in the materiality of moving images has grown, as have threats and opportunities created by artificial intelligence. The conference extends the dialogue between the North and South in the areas of media art, research and new technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
