Chris Meigh-Andrews is Reader in Electronic & Digital Art at the University of Central Lancashire. A practicing artist specialising in electronic & digital media, he has been exhibiting his video tapes & installations internationally since 1978. Meigh-Andrews was “Arts Council of England International Artist Fellow” in Krakow, (2003/04). and the recipient of a research award from the National Endowment of Science, Technology and the Arts (NESTA) in 2004 and a British Council Travel Award to Poland in 2005. Meigh-Andrews is currently co-curating (with Catherine Elwes) Analogue: British, Canadian and Polish Artist’s Video: 1968-88, a major retrospective event to be staged in 2006 at Tate Modern and Tate Britain in London, the Centre for Contemporary Art, Ujazdowski Castle, Warsaw, the Ontario Gallery of Art, Toronto, and St James Cavalier Centre for Creativity, Valletta, His book Video Art: A History of Technology and Form will be published by Berg in July 2006.
