County Tam is a PhD student in the Department of Comparative Literature, the University of Hong Kong. Her research interests include the concept of bodily presence and disembodiment, theory and criticism of new media as a convergence of technology and art. Recently she is doing a comparative study of the concept of body in different cultures mainly on anatomy and bodily measurement. This comparison involves a revisit to the history of Asian science, technology and medicine from a perspective other than modern western science.
